How do you say “Do you have a charger?” in Japanese?

_ 持ってる?

 _ motteru

If you want to ask politely, you can say :

_ 持ってますか?

 _ mottemasuka

When you want to say “Do you have _ ?” in Japanese, put a noun just before “持ってる?” or “持ってますか?”.

For example, if you want to say “Do you have a charger?”, you can say like this :

  • charger = 充電器 juudenki*

*We pronounce like “jūdenki”.


 juudenki motteru

Or politely :


 juudenki mottemasuka


  • Do you have …? = あなたは … 持ってる? anatawa … motteru

We do not usually say “あなたは (= you)” in everyday conversation.
