How do you say “I gained 2kg.” in Japanese?

Today’s phrase is :

_ キロ太ったよ。

 _ kiro futottayo

If you want to speak politely, you can say :

_ キロ太りました。

 _ kiro futorimashita

When you want to say “I gained _ kg.”, put how much weight you gained just before “キロ kiro”.

“キロ” means “kilograms”.

As a unit of weight, we use kilograms, not pounds.

  • 1 kilogram = 2.205 pounds
  • 1kg = 1キロ ichikiro OR ikkiro
  • 2kg = 2キロ nikiro
