How do you say “I’m afraid of heights.” in Japanese?
Today’s phrase is :
I’m afraid of heights.
高い所苦手なんだよね。
takaitokoro nigate nandayone
If you want to speak politely, you can say :
高い所苦手なんですよね。
takaitokoro nigate nandesuyone
- I’m afraid of … = わたしは … 苦手なんだよね watashiwa … nigate nandayone
- heights = 高い所 takai tokoro
We do not usually say “わたしは watashiwa (=I)” in everyday conversation.
