How do you say “It’s hot.” in Japanese?
Today’s phrase is :
It’s hot.
暑いね。
atsuine
If you want to speak politely, you can say :
暑いですね。
atsui desune
If you want to say “It’s hot today.”, just add “今日は (kyouwa)” to the beginning of the sentence :
今日暑いね。
kyou* atsuine
*We often omit “は (wa)” in casual speech.
*We do not clearly pronounce the vowels at the end of a word. We pronounce “kyou” like “kyō”.
“今日 (kyou)” means “today”.
