How do you say “Let me see.” in Japanese?
Today’s phrase is :
Let me see.
If you want to speak politely, you can say :
chotto misete morattemo iidesuka*
- Let me … ＝ わたしに … させて watashini … sasete
- see ＝ 見る miru
We do not usually say “わたしに (= me)” in everyday conversation.
Although “見させて” makes sense, it sounds more natural to say “見せて”. Adding “ちょっと” makes the expression softer.
